MES Environmental (MESE), the company that will operate and maintain the plant once construction is completed, is starting a phased recruitment process for operational roles. Once the facility is finished, 31 full-time, permanent jobs will be created and, where possible, MESE would like to recruit people from the local community. Full training will be provided.
These roles will be filled in stages over the coming months and vacancies will be advertised on the MESE website and through national and local recruitment agencies.
In May 2019, we held an event for job seekers to find out about construction-related job openings at the facility.
If you are interested in a role during the construction phase, you can also submit your CV via email to email@example.com, stating your trade or the type of work you are looking for in the subject line. Submitted CVs are passed to CNIM who will be in touch if they need further information. Where appropriate, your details may be forwarded to the relevant subcontractor. We keep CVs on file for six months, after which you will need to resubmit if you still want to be considered. If you wish to withdraw your CV within the six-month period, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will remove it from our system.
Enabling works (preparations to make the building site ready for construction) started at the beginning of 2019 and construction is expected to take about three years. At the peak of construction, around 300 people will be employed on site and, as far as possible, we want to recruit from the local area.
